Well this happened a little bit ago and I"m just now getting around to doing a write up on it . Naked Aggression once again visiting our wonderful town of Bakersfield , just instead of the usual Jerry's Pizza they played at Riley's Tavern (never been in here since it use to be Chaos Coffee 20 years ago) heard they couldn't do the gig at Jerry's cuz they wanted way to much . Well anyways Malicious Intentions started outwith their sun burnt Death Metal , I'm not to much of a fan of death metal but these guys were very precise in the musicianship and for their style they were very good . Next up were The Noktornals , never heard of them before until tonight and after talking to them a couple of them live in Bakersfield now (WHHHHYYYYYYYYY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO MOVE HERE) On their facebook page they describe themselves as a Horror punk band with female vocals . A very good band with a hint of the Misfits/Samhain to a 80's hardcore sound , The guitarist was plagued with some difficulties at the beginning but that didn't seem to take away from their sound . Members of The Noktornals are also in another band called VC Death Squad ,and to which i added a link to them also . If you enjoy the music of Adrenalin O.D. you'll love Carcinogenz . Just an eclectic mix of surf , jazz punk , hardcore but with hint of on the edge of power violence . Kept hearing about these guys for a while now and just finally got to see them live and I was not disappointed . Looking at them setting up you would expect C.C.R. or something like that , then they start playing and it's like a steel cap in the face . The Withdrawals were up next , damn when are theses guys and girl not playing a show , seriously they're almost always playing and it's not a bad thing at all . They really got the crowd going with their sound . Heard they got booed pretty bad at Gilman Street when they messed up on Holidays In Cambodia but tonight it sounded perfect . Thier sound is more punk then hardcore and very good . Next up was Naked Aggression no explanation needed . They were promoting their new split 7" with Opposition Rising (who were suppose to also play but had dropped out of the tour for what reason I do not know) N.A. played an excellent set as usual .
