Bones Of Brundage is a documentary film about the music scene in Bakersfield California , brought to you the one and only Nate Burg - promoter , bassist in Sharon Tate (r.i.p.) and now film director and The Thumbscrew Agency Inc and Christopher Pankratz . He is the one who brought you Floradora -All Ages On A thousand Stages film of a found Vhs tape of Fugazi in Fresno , Ca . in 1991 . We have seen other docs on L.A. , England and such but to see one done of a little known scene in the Armpit of Cali ( the central valley) is a rare taste of a music scene surrounded by oilfields , rednecks the conservative attitude that is Bakersfield beyond the known musical taste of Buck Owens and Merle Haggard and Korn . In the trailer of Bones Of Brundage i have seen clips of some of the clubs that held gigs around here and some before i moved here , but the ones i know and have been to are Bamm Bamms , Munoz Gym both very fun places and now long gone and Jerry's Pizza which is still around and do shows occasionally and where Nate booked a hella lots of gigs ( thank you for bringing so many great Bands here Nate ) . We have had other places that did shows The Gate/ The Boiler Room , Babylon , The Marquee and others beside numerous backyard shows. I know i an forgetting a grip load of stuff but oh well i'm sure someone remembers , well here is the trailer
