Hello my name. Is Kelly I formed the band in 1995 with intention of creating a community of punks where I lived to make a difference in some of the problems my community faced and it was starting to grow and some other good bands started to form and then many of us grew tired and fed up with lack of support and we focused on the party instead of the purpose
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from someone in the band , i know what you mean of lack of support in your punk community , where i live in Bakersfield , Ca. we use to have an active scene and people working on making it stronger . Well It kinda imploded on itself when a group ( 19th street ) tried to pretty much take over and decide who can and can not go to gigs or certain locations of town ( downtown area ) and the house shows they have are pretty much an exclusive group of them and friends . And if you disrespect them in even just words you'll must likely get jumped by 10 or more of them . ( which happened a while back , 20 of them jumped a girl and her boyfriend and when they defended themselves one of the 19th street girls got stabbed and died , with eyewitness and video survillance camera's the girl was not charged ) . Bullshit has divided the scene here , where once upon a time everyone kinda got along especially at Munoz Gym . I've been a fan of Atomkinder when i first heard of them a few years ago but could never find any recordings but since i did i had to share them on my blog .
