So These guys are a fairly new band , hell they just had their first show in Oct. , and the singer is an old Bako punk and friend of mine . Well anyways here we have an interview with The Dry Sockets from Bong Leach . So who's in the band and where you all from ? The band is Trevor Luca - Guitar , Chris Oliaro - Bass , joey Luck - Drums , Adam (Ant) Rodgersbyrd - I don't wanna call what i do is singing but there's a microphone in front of me . We are from Long Beach but nobody in the band is haha. The band recently played it's first show at Alex's Bar in Oct. , how was the crowd reaction to the band for an afternoon show ? Our first show at Alex's was tight . Good turn out for a matinee show w/ just two local bands . Everyone seemed to like it so it was mostly people with bad taste in attendance . You have a show coming up on Dec 17th at The Mint in good ol' BakersHell , any warnings for people daring enough from out of town who are planning to go ? Anyone coming from out of town to this show I'd say just don't . you might get beat up or ya need methadone after your visit . Seriously though , the show is a toy drive , it's at The Mint , it's all homies , all family .I think it'll be just fine for any out of towners , just don't end up being "that guy" by the end of the night . This show is a benefit for the Bakersfield Homeless Shelter how did you get on the show and who is putting it on ? Keri Bryson found the charity & got the ball rolling on the show I dug up some really good bands and DJ's and when we had issues w/ the original venue JR Luna & Howie stepped in & saved that shit . It's literally ALL the homies pitching in to make this happen . What kinda music/bands influenced you guys to play such god awful music ? We listen to everything . Fucking all of it .Punk , Oi! , Hardcore from every decade like all of it . I don't think we are influenced by anyone , our songs are just an extension of the shit we love . We have a song that Peddlers so whatever the fuck that is . Where did you come up with the name of the band ? We had already been writing songs and practicing but we didn't have a name that all of us liked . Then I had some of my bottom teeth yanked because I was in the process of fixing them after years of drug abuse . I got dry socket on one of the extractions , it's very fucking painful especially cuz I won't take opiates , but worth it cuz we got a name out of it . Any plans for the future (recordings , merch , touring) ? Just play as many shows as we can and record real soon . There's issues with vinyl right now but we'll at least have some shit streaming soon . And t-shirts at the shows ! Any gentle last words or fist fucked fuck offs to anyone ? Last words ? - Joke 'em if they can't take a fuck .
